CMA offers a viable and professional alternative for repair and/ or replacement of these most critical cylinders, with bore diameters typically around 1000mm. A typical cylinder used as the primary roll force device in a steel or aluminium rolling mill must operate trouble free at loads/ pressures up 15MN/ 350 Bar, for many years.
A feature of our manufacture and repair service is our specially developed bore surface finishing process for extended seal life.
- As received full load and stroke testing in CMA’s custom-built 3000T test jig.
- Testing with, and without load cells, including strain gauge and inductive type cells.
- Strip-down, assessment and reporting.
- Repair planning and design to suit specific problems as detected.
- Seal updates to best currernt practice.
- Co-ordination and QA management of all machining and repair operations, including surface finishing, coatings, and replacement parts.
